News from the Past

In our final project “News from the Past” we interviewed young people from Tapiola about their ideas of home. During the interview we exchanged a lot of photographs and stories from our childhood.

During the interview we were sound recording and filming the table from above where all the photo-exchanging happened.

On the 4^th of May in the Cultural Center of Tapiola we built up an installation in the lobby. Our aim was to reconstruct the situation of the interview. We projected a film on a table that was surrounded by chairs. The film was an edited version of the film that our camera recorded during the interview.

This way our table of the interview was projected on the table in the Cultural Center. We also played our sound recording of the stories that were told during the interview.
