connecting

On Monday I went to Uusix to see how my energy bikes were doing and the pieces were metal were all laying in a sad mountain. I guess they were waiting for a generator to show up, but forgot to tell me. So my day was spent schooling myself on generators, alternators, and some other things with long names. But what do I want to generate? I guess some sort of purpose or awareness of what can do. The environment in these malls are so depressing that it will only generate more depression. So I want to make a shift in that continuation. I'm think of doing that with film since they trigger so much emotion in memories. I'd like to hook a bike to an 8mm film so that one can spin to make the moving images shine.

I've been doing a lot of research of Aase Kristensen's notion of playscapes and this is based on the kids creating their playground. So I was thinking of asking the pre-school if I could ask the kids to help me on this project.

Another possibility is to turn the place into a sort of maze. A hunt with messages and for people to connect the dots. The kids would be a great help with this as well.

And then finally another thing I would like to do is for people to move, which is a running element in all my ideas. These hang out spots are familiar, but can quickly turn to the mundane then boredom then trouble. Bored teenagers are uh ohs! If I could make a game out of people seeing the corners they never visit then that would be great. A corner a day. I guess this connects to the maze and egg hunt game I mentioned earlier.
